Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable energy source available and we are proud to announce that 60% of S&J’s total electricity consumption is now from solar energy generated within the Saha Group Industrial Park.

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility are important components of S&J’s culture and values. We have over the past years been working hard to combat climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions while meeting consumer demand for clean and reliable energy in the manufacturing process.

S&J was in 2019 and 2020 recognized by the Thai FDA and Stock Exchange Of Thailand with numerous sustainability awards and, as the only company in the industry, the “Overall Best Award” for its commitment to consistently supply sustainable products, be socially responsible and caring for the environment.

After having recently been awarded “The Overall Best Award”, “Outstanding SET Sustainability Award” and “The Thailand Sustainability Investment Award” by the Stock Exchange of Thailand, we are extremely honored to have been selected by the SET, as the only Consumer Goods company in Thailand, to share our commitment to the SET’s guidelines.

In the interview, Khun Thirasak Vikitset, Managing Director and President of S&J International, share our business philosophy, embracement of sustainability measures and the matrix, S&J is using to proactively monitor and plan our activities to support a responsible and sustainable growth.

We are pleased to announce that the FDA of Thailand recently awarded S&J International with “The Overall Best Award” for 2020. We are extremely proud to be the only cosmetic and personal care company in Thailand to receive this award. The recognition is based on the following criteria: 

• manufacture and developing safe products with integrity and ethics in the production process
• consistently supply sustainable and responsible products 
• is a good role model for other companies
• show social responsibility and caring for the environment 
• promoting activities for the development of society, morality, culture, and environment

The Thai FDA also presented the “Quality Award 2020” to qualified Consumer Goods and Healthcare companies in Thailand and we are very honored of having received this recognition together with 11 manufacturers.

That is why we want to share the steps we are taking at S&J International to ensure we are doing everything in our power to provide a safe environment for our employees and continue to have a reliable operation. First, we are monitoring the situation daily, and adjust business operations and policies as needed. We are in close communication with local authorities and health organizations, and are following their guidelines.

Second, we are being proactive with our colleagues to both protect their health and provide support for those who need to go to Self-isolation or develop medical issues related to the virus. We have enacted a work from home policy, segregation of working teams, thermal testing and similar measures. The pay and benefits to our employees will remain in place including for any employees who will need to go on COVID-19 related leave. We have been lucky so far as none of our employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

Thirdly, please know that cleanliness and sanitization have always been a big part of our operation and we already follow strict guidelines. However, due to the current situation, we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and adding to our current supply of cleaning and sanitizing materials to ensure a complete sanitized environment throughout the course of the day.

Forth, our customer and supplier teams will continue to support and interact with you, our business partners, on a frequent basis. We at this point in time would prefer to have video conference calls, other non-physical interactions such as email and similar, but be rest assured our teams stand ready to support you on a daily basis.

S & J receives “Excellent CG” score in The 2019 Corporate Governance Report S & J International Enterprises Public Company Limited was rated as one of the companies with “Excellent CG” score for 2 nd consecutive year in the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies (CGR) 2019. In addition, the company was also ranked in the top quartile of listed companies with good corporate governance in the market capitalization segment of 3,000 – 9,999 Million Baht according to the survey conducted by Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD) in collaboration with The Securities and Exchange Commission and The Stock Exchange of Thailand. This score reflects the company&commitment to good corporate governance practices.

The 9th edition of MakeUp in New York has closed its doors and we are very proud to have been awarded “The Innovation Tree Award” for the third time in 2019. As the UK health and beauty market is set to reach £27 billion by 2020, Sainsbury’s, one of the largest retailers in the UK, was in 2018 laying the foundations for a major makeover of its beauty range, designed to bring its customers the best beauty offering of the high street in a convenient supermarket setting. As part of the makeover, over 1,500 new products were introduced as a result of range expansions and the arrival of new and exclusive brands customers might not expect to find in a supermarket. In preparation for the launch of their own BOUTIQUE cosmetics range, Sainsbury decided to partner up with S&J to work on all aspects of the product development as well as the continued ongoing range management.

We are proud that this combined commitment and dedication to the BOUTIQUE cosmetics range has resulted in overwhelming positive reviews by the press and bloggers and since the launch in October 2018 we have seen continuously strong sales growth in 2019. We, at S&J, are very honored to have been recognized by Sainsbury for our contribution to the partnership during the recent Annual Supplier Conference in Hong Kong where S&J was presented with the Best Partnership Award 2018.
