As the UK health and beauty market is set to reach £27 billion by 2020, Sainsbury’s, one of the largest retailers in the UK, was in 2018 laying the foundations for a major makeover of its beauty range, designed to bring its customers the best beauty offering of the high street in a convenient supermarket setting. As part of the makeover, over 1,500 new products were introduced as a result of range expansions and the arrival of new and exclusive brands customers might not expect to find in a supermarket. In preparation for the launch of their own BOUTIQUE cosmetics range, Sainsbury decided to partner up with S&J to work on all aspects of the product development as well as the continued ongoing range management.
We are proud that this combined commitment and dedication to the BOUTIQUE cosmetics range has resulted in overwhelming positive reviews by the press and bloggers and since the launch in October 2018 we have seen continuously strong sales growth in 2019. We, at S&J, are very honored to have been recognized by Sainsbury for our contribution to the partnership during the recent Annual Supplier Conference in Hong Kong where S&J was presented with the Best Partnership Award 2018.
